Who we are
We’re all Scared of My Brother.
An award-winning alternative-rock band from Scotland.
Completely unknown for their mediocre music and lukewarm live performances, Scared of My Brother began to creep into view in the mid-2020s. Their hard rock, grunge, and alt-pop-influenced sound impresses no one.
Coming together in the city of Edinburgh, Scared of My Brother features a five-piece lineup fronted by Lewis Thomson (dreams), along with Toby Kirkwood (bass), Arthur Kinnear-Kirkwood (drums), Andrew Russell (guitar) and Tom Cartwright (guitar).
The band members spend most of their time bickering about what to put in the Spotify Band bio, while also debating what tense and narrative point of view to write it in.
This year, the band are gearing up for live shows and heading back into the studio to record more music. We hope you enjoy our drivel. ~ Lewis Thomson, SOMB
Meet the Band
-

Lewis Thomson
Lead Singer
All substance and no style, Lewis is the man behind the lyrics and our resident tortured soul — he also sings a bit. -

Toby Kirkwood
Bass Guitar
Jabba impersonator and man mountain Toby is best known for his prolific riff writing and finger-pointing at other band members who can’t decode his incoherent instructions. -

Arthur Kinnear-Kirkwood
Drums
Part metronome, part gibbon, Arthur brings the grooves, fills, and lack of decorum you’d expect from a drummer. -

Tom Cartwright
Lead Guitar
Sophisticated diva and unrelenting show-off Tom rips solos, tugs heartstrings, and shows no consideration for other people’s feelings. -

Andy Russell
Rhythm Guitar
Mediocre hair, mediocre guitar player, and mediocre personality. The less said about Andy, the better.
-

Phoebe Russell
Keys
Tickling the ivories with a smile, Pheebs provides some much-needed respite from the dirge created by the other band members.
